From culture to crop: a connected history for beneficial mites
A practical view of batch records, greenhouse observations and the future of comparing breeding lines across generations.
Begin with a clear origin
A useful batch history connects the originating culture, production cycle, sample checks and dispatch record. It gives a team context for investigating an observation and deciding which records to review.
Continue the record in the greenhouse
The proposed connected workflow adds the destination crop, release record and later observations to that history. BioControler supports greenhouse monitoring and protection planning. BioScouter is nearing completion; its role is being developed around field observations.
Treat comparisons as a development task
The ambition is to follow lines beyond the laboratory and learn from their performance in the crop. Comparing generations would require consistent records, comparable observations and biological validation. The illustrated workflow is a development concept, not proof of a validated lineage-rating system.
